The Town is also planning to build additional pathways to link community parks and major activity centers. The hard-packed beaches are also popular for bicycling at low tide. We offer bicycle tours of Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. Leisurely explore the island's deverse ecosystem. A highlight of the tour is Ibis Pond. This freshwater pond is bustling with the activity of herons, egrets, ibis, and many other birds as well as alligators and turtles. This tour has been very popular and bikes are a great way to see the flat but otherwise facinating terrain of Pinckney Island.
