Crazy Crab Webmaster's Review: B+
Let's start with the hushpuppies, because they may in fact be the best on Hilton Head Island! Sweet and delicious, you won't be able to get enough of them. I sampled the Clam Chowder for starters, and it was thick but overall quite average. A bit on the bland side for my tastes. Moving on to the entree, I had the fried oysters and french fries. The oysters were plentiful and tasty, cooked just about right. This place is always crowded, so expect about a 45 minute to an hour wait most nights in season.
Western grille and cantina, with two locations, also offers catering services.

Giuseppi's Pizza & Pasta
Located at the Plaza at Shelter Cove
Featuring: A must while visiting Hilton Head Island is lunch or dinner at "The Original" Giuseppi's Pizza & Pasta!
Giuseppi's Pizza Webmaster's Review: B+
We enjoyed two large pizzas made to order, but the pizza was served merely warm, not piping hot like it just came out of the oven. We guess it's because it was pretty busy and they have to keep shuffling things in and out of the oven, but hey it's always crowded. If you want to eat inside you might have a 45 minute wait, but we sat right down and ate outside under the shaded courtyard.
Serve it hot (and just a little crispy for my tastes) Giuseppi's if you want to make the A List.

Marley's Island Grille Webmaster's Review: A+
We sampled the Marley's Mixed Grille ($30 USD) A combination of filet mignon, pork tenderloin, and Australian rock lobster tail, with french fries and fresh vegetables. For an additional $3.00 sharing charge, you get plentiful portions served up on two platefuls, each prepared individually. You'd never know you were splitting it as the portions are generous. The lobster tail was on the petite side, but was perfectly grilled and delicious. The filet mignon was also very tasty and well-prepared, but the real star of the Mixed Grille is the marinated pork tenderloin. Marinated with soy, ginger and a few secret spices, it is a real treat. Served with a thai-like peanut sauce on the side that is a nice complement with the pork. French fries were good and the green stalks were delectible. Oh, and the bread, don't forget the bread...Great service, great food, and live entertainment while you wait outside (about 40 minutes for us, not bad). And did I mention they have an ice cream parlor outside for dessert?! The sweet tea is pretty good too, naturally). A must eat while in Hilton Head.

Sea Shack Webmaster's Review: A
"Where the locals go."
That's what they tell me, anyway. This is a real seafood restaurant, no pretensions or catchy logo or theme here. Just good food, served up without a lot of frills. You know it has to be good as soon as you pull in the parking lot, because there is usually a line out the door. Be patient, as the register is right inside the door and as soon as you make it in you're real close.. to placing your order at least, because after you do you can expect another 30-45 minute wait on your food! Order up a bowl of their Clam Chowder to ease the wait. They serve it up immediately and it's perhaps the best on the Island. I also had the Gumbo on our second visit (two days later) and it was equally delicious. And the sweet tea - oh the sweet tea. Yummy! And you get to scoop your own ice and refill your cup at your own convenience, as there are no waiters or servers here. Means you don't have to leave a tip, either :) I had the fried oyster platter with fries and hushpuppies. The oysters were very good, if a little greasy. The fries are diner style and are pretty good. The hushpuppies are ok, and might be of the frozen variety. But overall this place is a must stop, but beware, the word is out.
